Sending Large Pictures by Tom Van Kerschaver | Mar 7, 2015 | Other, Social Media, Tools | 0 comments You are the proud owner of a state-of-the-art photocamera and you take losts of pictures during club meetings, fundraising and other Lions events. Nice… but then some club members ask you to send them some pictures. You start your email programma and… the computer says NO… Your state-of-the-art photo camera produces image file of 4 megabites or even bigger and you are only allowed to send 1, 2, 3 or maybe 4 files at one time and you have to send over a hundred images… The solution? Use an online service ‘WeTransfer.com’ to send a large ammount of files at once (up to 2 Gigabyte – At least 500 high Quality photos). Let’s have a look how WeTansfer works. Surf to “www.wetransfer.com’ Click add files (1) Select the files you want to send Enter the ‘send to’ email address (2) Enter your own email address (3) Enter a message. (By entering a personal message you indicate that the files where sent by you) (4) click transfer (5) The Wetransfer service will start zipping and uploading all the selected files. When done, both the reciever and yourself will receive a mail with a link. Clicking this link will start a zip download which contains all you files. Easy Peasy 🙂 Advantages of using WeTransfer Easy to use 2 Gb of files to send at once No software installation Disadvantage Sometimes a page appears asking you to registers or by some extra premium services. so do not click ‘Get WeTransfer Plus’, instead click ‘Skip’ to get to the regular WeTransfer screen.
